KCRW Takes on the Ping Pong World
This past weekend, KCRW was invited to participate in the west coast launch of PT3, Puma's Table Tennis tournament, held at Microsoft's leased Zune LA space. The Tourney featured 16 teams including MOCA, LACMA, Stones Throw Records, Flaunt Magazine, Smashbox Studios, Paramount, The Undefeated store and a host of others.
The KCRW team consisted of Director of Member services/Team organizer Jennifer Fuertes, Associative Interactive Producer/MVP Robert LaFond and music librarian/team captain Eric J.Lawrence. They also received some assistance from Bella Livshin, head coach for the Santa Monica Community College Table Tennis Team.
